This happened in California but made the news here in Philadelphia. Why do some stories get national attention. And some, even fatalities, barely get noticed outside of the local area. A baby was killed by his family pit bull in Florida days ago and it wasn't news here. But this is?

    I only knew that this story made the news here because one of my friends sent it to me. So, yeah it's good that it got picked up, but I'd rather the death of Declan Moss, killed by his family pet bull, be national news.

Publicly funded shelters are full of them, they cost countless hours of police time, who knows how many millions of dollars in medical bills. The only one who benefits are the dog fighters and money raising "rescues" that take in the dog fighters rejects.
