That title? That’s about how much sense these people make.
First we have this shot where Karen Branson signed a petition to pass BSL in Georgia (no, I”m not linking it here, but when I pulled this screenshot there were a whole THREE signatures on it).

Then we have these screenshots from a thread about a nanny that left a couple kids in a car parking lot that was full of parents. Many of the people stated the person who witnessed this should tell the parents of the children. Many said it was that type of answer that was causing kids to grow up totally unable to deal with the world (wayyyyyyyyyy overprotected).
We see what side of that argument Karen falls on here:

Um Karen? You say that 115 children being kidnapped (and according to you 50 of them killed) every year is nothing to get all “the sky is falling over” freaked out about. Then why is it that even LESS children dying from dog bite attacks IS something to get batshit crazy over? And why is the solution to ban the dogs instead of dealing with the irresponsible owners?? Just askin.

Kelsey, why you lyin? IGUN didn’t post that picture of your son. Actually that picture didn’t appear on IGUN at all. And when the admin of the page it WAS on was notified, they took it down immediately AND more than one person told the guy off.
So why do you feel the need to lie. Is it that important to you to be accepted by the haters?
I’m not an admin on IGUN so I don’t have a personal stake in it, but I do so hate liars.

So one of the newest fake profiles (Murphy Powers) posted a comment that was left on a post here. This one in particular. Now of course there is no reference to where it came from, or what the person quoted was speaking about (a FAKE profile set up by one of the foamers using the picture AND identity of a deceased pit bull victim). Do you think anyone bothers to ask where it came from, what it was about, why she said what she said? Of course not. They just all whip out their psychology degrees and start diagnosing both the person who commented and every other person who owns a pit bull in the world. Sad.

Dennis Baker. For your comment to have ANY bearing, MADD would have had to try to outlaw all alcohol and all cars and all people who use either to be on the same par as an attempt to ban and destroy over 20 breeds of dogs. Now, if you were fighting for stronger laws against those who irresponsibly own dogs (of any breed) and don’t maintain their dogs properly then you might, someday, aspire to reach the same great accomplishments that MADD has.
And if you want to try to make someone look bad, you should probably make sure that the truth isn’t out there somewhere. Although, I suppose it makes no difference to you people. You need no reason to hate, lie or talk trash.

Do you ever wonder if Beth Robbins gets whiplash with all the contradictory things she says? I get that people are often complicated but she takes it to a whole new level. I wonder what her son would think if he knew that she advocates for the death of her “grand dog”? Although I’m sure she would say that dog should be exempt because she apparently is the only responsible pit bull owner in the country.

The absolute HYPOCRISY of these people never ends. Why is it okay for them to love their dogs so much, to give them Christmas presents, to think of them as FAMILY, but not for the rest of us simply because they don’t like the “breed” (that isn’t actually a breed).
It is the statements like this that make me see he proof..more and more, that this is not about any kind of victim advocacy or any kind of realistic concern. It’s nothing more than personal vendettas born of ignorance and fear. And they should all be stopped. That is another reason I will fight their lies, their bullshit and their insanity until the day I take my final breath.

IF this story were true (which I don’t believe it is for a second) I can only wonder….where the hell do these people live? Many of us live in some of the biggest cities in the country AND in the small rural areas, and we are NOT tripping over wild packs of pit bulls every other day. We don’t have them running up to attack us on a daily (or even regular) basis. Or .. well. ever. But the pro-BSL group seems to be living in an alternate reality composed of nothing BUT pit bulls.
And bear mace? yeah okay whatever you little fruit tart.

Myth: The U.S. Center for Disease Control (the CDC) has determined that the Pit Bull is the most dangerous dog in the U.S.

Fact: In 1999, the CDC formally quit compiling dog fatalities by breed, because they conceded they had been compiling all their statistics from newspaper reports, which were written by newspaper reporters. If a Yellow Lab bites a mailman, it is not very likely the incident will be in the newspaper. But if a Pit Bull even chases a mailman, the police will likely be called, and the incident will very likely to be in the newspaper.

urthermore, most newspaper reporters, and even policemen, are not experts in dog identification. Example: Just last year in my hometown, there was a front-page headline: "Officer Shoots Pit Bull." Two days later, in the back of the newspaper, was the small headline "Dog Shot Is Misidentified." In the clarifying article, the dog was identified as being a Blue Heeler/Boxer mix. But the damage was done, and such shoddy reporting and consequent damage goes on daily across the U.S.

Finally, the CDC has stated that any of its previous statistics on breed identification and dog related fatalities are so flawed that they should not be used at all.

Myth: When Pit Bulls bite, their jaws lock.
Fact: Their jaws lock no more than any other dog, which is not at all.


Myth: They have the most powerful jaws.
Fact: German Shepherds and Dobermans have stronger bite pressure according to testing done by National Geographic. And based on size alone several dogs the same size or bigger than German Shepherds probably do too. Pit Bulls just have the wider jaw/narrower nose appearance, which makes their jaws just look more formidable, and cutting their ears off just emphasizes that look.


Myth: Pits are very human aggressive.
Fact: In breeding them for dog fighting, they have been bred to be very people friendly. A Pit Bull that bit a handler was a goner. Consequently the dogs left for breeding are the least likely to bite a human. Why don't dog-fighters use other dogs, especially bigger dogs? Because they would be much more difficult to control in a dogfight.

Furthermore, according to the American Temperament Test Society, Inc., the leading institution on evaluating canine temperament, the following dogs all have worse temperament failure rates than American Pit Bull Terriers: Akita, American Eskimo, Australian Shepherd, Australian Cattle dog, Boxer, Dalmatian, Doberman, German Shepherd, Great Dane, Golden Retriever, Greyhound, Mastiff, Rottweiler, Shar-Pei. And yes, you read that right--Golden Retriever.

Fact: A big problem dog fighters have is that they sometimes have a hard time getting their “Pit Bull” to fight.

Fact: There has NEVER been a documented case of a sexually altered, single household family pet Pit Bull killing a human. By household pet, I mean not kept chained up out-side the house or kept just in a kennel or used as a guard dog. And you can bet that if this had ever happened, it would be well publicized.

Fact: The woman who received the world's first partial face transplant in November 2005, was attacked by a--Labrador.

Fact: Pit Bulls often have a prey drive that can be easily activated. So do most dogs, including the bigger ones such as German Shepherds, Dobermans, Rottweilers, Boxers, Akitas, and Labradors, as well as smaller dogs that have also been involved in human and dog fatalities.

Opinion: Anyone who leaves a child alone with more than one sexually intact dog of any comparable size or larger is committing negligence.

One book you need to read if you want to be up-to-date and well informed about the issue of aggressive dogs is:
"The Pit Bull Placebo: The Media, Myths and Politics of Canine Aggression," by Karen Delise.

San Francisco, California: After 6 years of extremely controversial direction at San Francisco Animal Control, Rebecca Katz was shown the way out Friday July 25, 2014. To this day, no details regarding her dismissal and escorted from the building departure, but employees still on the inside are speculating.
Some say Captain Vicki Guldbech "bought her BA degree online. Like Carl Friedman set her up with that position of operational manager since it did not exist so she could make bank, but it required a BA degree."
This is mere speculation, however a simple search would reveal any inaccuracies. The source, still working at SFACC and fearful of retribution posed the thought, "in regards to the firing apparently Rebecca was giving Vicky Gulbech (sp.) ultimatums, not sure exactly what they were but apparently Vicky didn't like that and it's thought that she had something to do with getting Rebecca fired..."
This source and others including members of the public, citizens in San Francisco and the American Pit Bull Examiner have huge concerns regarding a replacement for Katz. During the interim, Eric Zuercher with a long history of high kill and poortemperament testing methods has been the cause for much euthanasia at the city shelter.
The city has a 20 year history of high kill and breed specific legislation as noted on Facebook page San Francisco Pit Bull Watcher. The page has documentation of recent 'mistakes' in which animals are being delegated two ID#'s in the computer to produce better numbers for the much published live release rates. American Pit Bull Examiner has been under attack for nearly two years from a hate group associated with the Rebecca Katz tenure at SFACC for publishing realistic records from the state rabies control reports which gravely conflict with those published by SFACC and the city of San Francisco.
A petition has been created to ask the city of San Francisco to hire a humane rescue oriented and solutions minded director and to replace the longtime high kill proponents Captain Vicki Guldbech and Media rep Deb Campbell who is responsible for using her highly paid position to publish false information to discredit a 501(c)(3) rescue organization. The hate group connected to Deb Campbell and ousted ex-director Katz has published these false accusations all over the internet including the rescue group's own Facebook pages and efforts to raise money for in house live animals.
This is a simple request. Fix San Francisco has published records and statistics of the failings at SFACC and is asking the city of San Francisco to please conduct a nationwide search to find a humane shelter director and begin after all these long years to clean up the bloodshed. The city has appointed the wrong directors for over 20 years. Carl Friedman put BSL into place and for years sought to 'kill all the pit bulls' impounded in the shelter. Katz used her position to manipulate those under her which has been discussed at length on social media. Her handling of the Charlie case has been a fiasco with the settlement stipulations violated which leaves the city open for a lawsuit and Katz giggling uncontrollably on the Monty Show radio program about killing pit bull puppies.
"With the very high kill rate and unfair breed specific kills, especially of owned dogs at this shelter ,makes me VERY glad to see her go. Let's bring in someone no-kill who has more compassion for animals! Her laughing on the radio about killing pit bull puppies was despicable."
Please sign the petition to create a pinnacle animal shelter in San Francisco which would and should be a model to follow for less affluent animal control facilities in other parts of the country and the world.

For 20 years, San Francisco has been killing pit bulls and other animals with terrible temperament tests. San Francisco Pit Bull Watcher documents the city's Pet Harbor website impounds with photos and ID #'s to try and keep up with the thousands of pit bulls and other animals being killed at the city's shelter.

Last Friday on July 25, 2014, director Rebecca Katz was fired and escorted out of the building. The city has not yet appointed a new director and longtime high kill kennel manager Eric Zuercher is acting interim director. Zuercher has been the henchman for Katz and her predecessor Carl Friedman, both of which had input into the city's antiquated breed specific legislation SB861.

No local media has given a reason for Katz's firing. The SF Examiner cut off commentary after the hate group with ties to Katz and SFACC volunteers took over the commentary and used their numbers to discredit and attack former SFACC employees and others with questions and opinions which differed with their agenda.

Fix San Francisco has documented the inhumane acts and off the charts salaries Katz, Kat Brown, Carl Friedman and their appointees such as Vicki Guldbech, Eric Zuercher and Deb Campbell have enjoyed. Fix San Francisco seeks a thinking, humane new director and has the published facts and statistics to back up the argument for change.

Katz became notorious during the high profile Charlie case in which the city took away David Gizzarelli's dog Charlie after an incident in which a mounted policeman galloped onto an off leash dog park where Charlie was playing with other dogs. The case is fraught with holes and obstructions including the stipulation that Gizzarelli is to receive quarterly reports and was to imput suggestions for sanctuary.

Charlie has disappeared under Katz's tenure at SFACC and Gizzarelli has never had calls or communications returned from her office. Katz has ties to a Facebook hate group in which she and volunteers at the city's pound lambasted Gizzarelli and Reunion Rescue.

Current officials at SFACC including Captain Vicki Guldbech and Media liason Deb Campbell, who's fabricated propaganda to discredit and ruin local rescue are still on the SFACC's bloated payroll.

This petition seeks to clean house at SFACC and hire solutions oriented director and staff interested in creating a pinnacle shelter which would set the bar for other communities to follow.

Please sign this petition and let San Francisco know the world is watching and waiting for a change. There is much aftermath to clean up and many are still dying.

      I started Reunion Rescue in 1999 after volunteering at SFACC and watching room after room filled with pit bulls killed. Reunion Rescue has pulled hundreds of pit bulls from SFACC, every single one placed on the euthanasia list by SFACC and turned down by SFSPCA so they could abide by the faulty 1994 adoption pact. I’ve written a book Pit Bull Nation about SFACC pit bull problem and write American Pit Bull Examiner column. Over the years Reunion Rescue has paid the city of San Francisco thousands of dollars to save pit bulls and other animals from death row.
      I was illegally banned by Carl Friedman and Kat Brown in 2003 over a dog who was nearly killed at SFACC in an effort to cover up the shelter's complicity.
      Since 2003 Reunion has helped the public with countless found dogs under the radar in efforts to help the animals in San Francisco. The interim director, Eric Zuercher, has a long history of killing all pit bull puppy litters under 6 weeks and a terrible track record of temperament tests. Reunion Rescue has pulled many dogs and puppies under the radar with help from the general public and other rescues who've failed his tests yet have gone on to live long healthy happy lives as canine good citizens.
      When the Charlie incident occurred in 2012, my column wrote a series on Charlie which has turned into a motivated organized effort to ruin my reputation and that of Reunion Rescue. Rebecca Katz recently fired from SFACC was a part of this effort which includes members of her entourage and volunteers at SFACC. Ms. Katz and her group made public accusations on the group's Facebook page with much name calling and untrue slurs.
      A lie filled memo written by SFACC employee Deb Campbell was issued to the leader of this group in a very sketchy FOIA and published on his blog accusing me of killing dogs, abusing animals and abandoning dogs, criminal and felonious activity. I have requested an FOIA on myself and in over a year have not had a reply. The published FOIA only had the lie filled memo and a couple of emails from Carl Friedman with no documentation from the four years of work and pulled animals which would show up on a genuine freedom of information request.
      The hate group posted the published blog on Reunion Rescue Facebook pages, our Cause page, on my articles and even Mayor Lee's Facebook page in an effort to intimidate, embarrass and ruin Reunion Rescue which resulted in a lawsuit settled in my favor out of court. However, the motivated organized movement to ruin my reputation and that of Reunion Rescue has tripled their effort most recently in the newspaper articles about Katz's firing in which the attacks and language were so volatile the commentary had to be suspended.
      Normal animal shelters with conscientious humane solutions oriented directors and staff do not engage in these nefarious activities.
      The longtime local rescues Reunion Rescue, Rocket Dog Rescue, Big Dawgs Rescue and others which rescue pit bulls do not pull from SFACC any longer.
      Those of us who're longtime animal activists grounded in the San Francisco bay area care deeply about the animals in San Francisco and would like to see a humane, rescue friendly, solutions oriented director and staff put in place at SFACC. This shelter in a city named for St. Francis should be a beacon animal shelter for other communities to follow, not a source of ridicule, embarrassment and needless death...a sad black spot on the map instead of the world class institution SFACC is capable of becoming.
      San Francisco, you’ve hired a cab driver and a lawyer to run things and look at the bloodshed..why not hire an animal person with no kill ideals for a change?

      How many animals over the years have had two ID numbers or even more at this facility?
      Back to the rabies statistics which prove SFACC is high kill and kills 1/3 intake.

      In 2010 according to state rabies control stats, SFACC processed 2205 dogs of which 907 were reclaimed. 329 were adopted and 508 were euthanized.
      That number for those who can't add and keep quoting false tweaked numbers, is 1/4 of the total intake killed and nearly or 1/2 the dogs left were killed.
      For people making a ton of money to run one of the country's most affluent shelters, these numbers are unacceptable.
      Please sign our petition asking the city to hire a humane rescue oriented non-killing director and replace the staff which spends company time trying to ruin rescue efforts.

      Sandy was only 8 months old, a puppy. The smily white dog was only a year and his name was #359047 pit bull and we know what they think about pit bulls at SFACC.
      Euthanasia fluid has the ability to remove a big silly grin from a dog's face like the smile on #359047.
      Stop the killing and let the city know we want to see a humane solutions oriented director and staff in place at SFACC.

      The volunteers and hate group from SFACC is posting false stories about Stella and other Reunion Rescue dogs.
      Here is the real story of Stella, Amber and the others we boarded at Spindletop before the raid and confiscation of nearly 300 dogs:
      "Almost $9,000 has been raised and sent to Spindletop for the care and boarding of Stella, Amber and two other dogs. Throughout the past year, Reunion Rescue was informed that Stella and Amber were ‘unadoptable’ and ‘aggressive’."
      The hate mob has taken this story and others and accused Reunion Rescue of raising $9,000 for a dead dog. How horrible is that?
      This longtime volunteer has posted an epic novel about myself and Reunion Rescue and claims that all her libelous and untrue information comes from SFACC. That is what SFACC directors are doing to earn 6 figure salaries?
      We raised over $9,000 for five dogs which were boarded at Spindletop and one (Stella) was murdered there. The leader of this hate group has even aligned with the killers at Spindletop in an effort to attack Reunion Rescue.
      Please sign the petition to remove the high kill staff at SFACC and hire a humane director and staff which will do shelter work not organize hate efforts to ruin rescue groups.

      Mass death at Spindletop Refuge: the story of Stella
      Willis, TX: Stella was a pit bull. She was abandoned last summer with Amber in the hot Houston, Texas heat. Her ears had been butchered off with dried blood running down the sides of her face. Stella and Amber were left noosed to a fenced vacant lot.

      343 people have joined together to sign the petition asking for a non killing animal shelter in San Francisco. Last Friday, director Rebecca Katz was fired and shown the door. However, high kill kennel supervisor Eric Zuercher in which many animals have needlessly died is acting director.
      Please sign the petition and ask five friends to sign and share with five more friends. There are still three high kill employees running SFACC:
      Deb Campbell, Captain Vicki Guldbech and Eric Zuercher..please remove the old high kill standard and hire humane and solutions oriented director and staff to run the city of San Francisco Animal Control.
      The animals deserve better.

      Five month pit bull puppy Eric Zuercher refused to hold for rescue. Illegal under the Hayden Act. Eric Zuercher is the interim acting directer at SFACC.
      This was the week after I was illegally banned by Carl Friedman when they nearly killed Slappy. Reunion Rescue would have taken this pup.
      Another case of killing dogs after banning the only pit bull rescue in town. This rescue paid SFACC thousands of dollars to save the city's animals.

      This was a beloved Siamese cat displaced due to a fire. At SFACC Eric Zuercher never bothered to call Siamese rescue and as noted by vet tech became kennel stressed. Siamese rescue would have taken this cat.
