When she called them in, without any warning, she said they snapped.(lies)

WISCONSIN -- It's taken a year for former babysitter Sue Iwicki to find the courage to share her story after her pit bulls mauled a toddler to death.

She's now joined the family of Dax Borchardt for a new mission to keep his memory alive.
"I have been living March 6, 2013, for the last year," Iwicki said.

That day changed Iwicki's life forever.

She was babysitting Jeff Borchardt's son, Dax, like she did every day at her apartment in Walworth County.

After lunch, she let the dogs outside to go to the bathroom. When she called them in, without any warning, she said they snapped.

"I wasn't able to keep Dax in my arms, and my immediate reaction was to cover Dax," Iwicki said.

Iwicki said she tried everything to get the dogs off the toddler.

"I scratched at them, poked them in the eyes, fought with them," Iwicki said.

But she couldn't save Dax.

"They weren't going to stop until they were done," Iwicki said.

Iwicki told WISN 12 News reporter Christina Palladino that part of her healing has been to work with Borchardt on a foundation in his son's honor called Daxton's Friends.

The mission is to educate the public on all dog breeds before bringing them into the home.

"He only had 14 months to live. By starting this organization, he can live on forever. He will not have died in vain," Borchardt said.

"I had to experience the absolute worst day of my life to learn a very hard lesson about breed ownership," Iwicki said.

To move forward, Borchardt has forgiven Iwicki and doesn't blame her for Dax's death.

Now their lives are spent honoring his legacy.

"It's given me a purpose, a cause to help save lives," Borchardt said.

Authorities never issued criminal charges in Dax's death. They said it was a terrible accident.

Iwicki had both her dogs put down immediately. She and her boyfriend got the dogs as puppies, and for three years, she said they never showed any aggression before attacking Dax.

A STORY FOUNDED ON LIES JD BOOFHEAD

DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE VET
REPORTS OVERWHELMINGLY
INDICATE SUSAN IWICKI'S DOGS
"Canine Boxer mix" ?

of worms. On the bottom of the last page of the charts,
there is an “Alert” that says “Go Slow-Reactive”.
Penny’s records also include forms from when she was
spayed, one page is an authorization form. The owners
did choose laser surgery and Pre-Anesthetic blood
testing. There is also a Surgical Summary from her
operation. Another form with her records appears to be
blood work results. It was done at IDEXX Laboratories
on 11/19/10, for a Female Canine Boxer named Penny,
age 7 months. It also lists the doctor as Cynthia Farris.
The weight says 0.0 lbs. Lastly, there is a report from
Urgent Care Veterinary Services, from 11/27/10. Penny is
listed as Canine species, Pit Bull, 7 months old. She was
seen for her incision from her spay surgery, which had
opened up and was bleeding. The vet that treated Penny
was Dr. Jeff Korosec, who was the same doctor that
ended up euthanizing both dogs after the attack.

One is listed as a boxer mix, one as a pit bull mix, but
they were brother and sister according to Susan. Go
figure?

Studies in the United States have indicated that the “pit bull” is responsible for a significant number of human fatalities resulting from dog attack, but the data on which such studies are based are flawed by methodological shortcomings

After more than a century as an uncontroversial dog

(Jessup, 1975), the American pit bull terrier has

developed a notorious reputation as a dangerous breed

since 1980, with consequent restrictions placed upon it

by jurisdictions in Australia and elsewhere. Studies in

the United States have indicated that the “pit bull” is

responsible for a significant number of human fatalities

resulting from dog attack, but the data on which such

studies are based are flawed by methodological

shortcomings. Using absolute numbers of dog attacks

by breed in Australia, data on attacks on human beings

reveal the pit bull terrier to be exceeded by several other

breeds. Regardless, the primary problem is that reliable

data do not exist for the number of attacks relative to

breed population. Of 19 human fatalities in Australia

over the past two decades, none has involved a dog

verified to be an American pit bull terrier. The evidence

does not sustain the view that this is a uniquely

dangerous breed, and breed-specific laws aimed to

control it have not been demonstrated by authorities to

be justified by its attack record.

Jonathan A. Macready Witness to pit bull terrorism (JOURNALIST OR FANATIC?)

Pit Bulls, Bred to be Aggressive Like Many of Their Owners

By Jonathan A. Macready
Witness to pit bull terrorism
January 27, 2015

Dogs bite 4 to 5 million Americans every year.
Few attacks are fatal. Unless it is a pit bull or a pit-bull cross.
If a poodle bites you - you probably won't go to the hospital and you won't die.
If a pit bull bites you - you are going to the hospital and you might die.
Just like an alligator or a lion is not a suitable pet, although a lizard or cat might be, a pit bull or pit bull cross is not a suitable pet.
Consider: Pit bulls make up 6% of the dog population, but are responsible for 68% of dog attacks and 52% of dog-related deaths.
One person is killed by a pit bull every 14 days, two people are injured by a pit bull every day. There is not a breed of dog more dangerous because violence is in their DNA.
Pit bulls were bred to go into the pit and fight.
Some say no dog has a predisposition to aggression.
Just like Father Flanagan said in Boys Town, "there is no such thing as a bad boy."
But there are bad boys and bad dogs and if the bad dog is a pit bull, there is danger.
Every kind of dog is neglected and abused. Not every kind of dog responds by killing and injuring people.
Consider: Different breeds have genetic predispositions to certain kinds of behavior, though that can be influenced by how they are raised. Why do herding dogs herd? Why do pointing dogs point? That's selective behavior. It's in their DNA.
Pit bulls were descended from the old English "bulldogge," used in the sport of bull baiting, where spectators watched dogs tear apart a bull. It was banned in the 1830s, and bull baiters moved to dog fighting and bred accordingly.
Bulldogge owners crossed the bulldogge with terriers for dog fighting prowess. Thus was born the pit-bull terrier, the most dangerous dog known to man.
The pit-bull terrier's breeding history separates it from the Doberman and Rottweiler which were bred to guard their masters and their property.
Pit bulls were bred to kill other dogs.
The pit bull is quicker to anger than other dogs, due to their high level of the neurotransmitter L-tyrosine. Pit bulls are more tenacious; their attacks last for 15 minutes or longer, and nothing—blows, kicks, sticks, or whipped by hoses—can stop them because of their insensitivity to pain. This has to do with brain chemistry. The body releases endorphins as a natural painkiller. Pit bulls generate higher levels of the endorphins.
Most dogs warn you before they attack, growling or barking. The pit bull attacks without warning. Most dogs bow to signal they want to frolic. The pit bull may follow a playful bow with a lethal assault.
Pit bulls were not originally bred to be aggressive to people. But irresponsible breeders let the dogs' block against being aggressive to people disappear over time.
Raised responsibly, pit bulls can be playful, intelligent, loyal and loving. Until the genetic time bomb goes off - if it does. And it may not.
Who knows.
As for me. I wouldn't chance it. That latent aggressive gene may erupt any time.
If it were a poodle, it wouldn't matter. But we're talking about pit bulls which can tear off your arm or bite off your face.
From my point of view, pit bulls should be regulated like other dangerous species, like leopards or crocodiles. You can keep them at home, but don't be surprised if one day they maul you - maybe to your death.
Good luck pit bull owners. I wish you well and hope you never have cause to regret your decision to keep such a potentially dangerous dog in your life.

While a lion has many similarities to the house cat and can be trained similarly, they make poor pets. In the event that they bite their owner, it will likely have a more lasting impact.

John Tawaroa CAN YOU ANSWER THE QUESTION?

John Tawaroa

"No you didn't make it clear at all, you just

said that's my opinion.  The hallmark trait of the pit

nutter is their unwillingness to accept the genetic

heritage of the pit bulldog (It’s all how you raise ‘em!) or

their inability to see the death and destruction their pit

bulldogs create as anything other than collateral

damage that the rest of society must

absorb so that the pit nutter can enjoy the freedom of

owning a killing machine. Pit nutters often dress their

dogs up in tutus, hitting the streets and forcing them

upon the non-pit nutter population in an attempt to

indoctrinate others, not unlike religious cults.

Oh shit, here comes another pit nutter. Hide your

children before they get their faces torn off"
